Back to Mayberry: Lessons from a Simpler Time
This was a summer Sunday group. We watched a full episode of an early Andy Griffith Show, and discussed its moral themes & values and examined them in light of biblical truth with a biblical example of each theme. We also talked about an application for our lives today. Lots of fun! Very informal and we had a great time!
Reel Spirituality ...
Matthew
A Bible film shown in our Sanctuary
For two years, an adult study for "Companions in Christ" met in unit sessions. Companions in Christ consists of five units with each unit having five parts. The five units enable us to immerse ourselves in the spiritual disciplines of prayer, scripture, study, worship, ministry, and Christian conversation. These means of grace are the common ways in which Christ meets people, renews their faith, and deepens their life together in love.
Ø We explore the depths of scripture, learn to listen to God through it and allow our lives to be shaped by the word.
Ø We experience new dimensions of prayer, try fresh ways of opening to God, and learn what it means to practice the presence of God.
Ø We reflect on Christ’s call in your life and discover anew the gifts that God gives us for living our personal ministry.
Companions in Christ is designed with time breaks between parts for people who want to take the entire 28 weeks or those who might want to take selected parts.

DREAM THINK BE DO - is a DVD series that served as a catalyst for conversation for adults who wanted to learn more about what it means to follow Jesus in this generation. Starting with the foundation of "Love God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind" (Luke 10.27), DREAM THINK BE DO helped us to build a 21st Century faith.
